I have been a racing fan for nearly 30 years, first starting when my grandmother (who lived in Louisville, Kentucky) took me to the 100th running of the Kentucky Derby at historic Churchill Downs. But it has been in the last 20 years that my interest has turned more "serious" as a handicapper.

Day 5 Results: October 28

Very discouraging - one win, at 1/5.  I did win a non-betting event, paid $9.20 in the third with Rosebud's Ridge.  Three thirds and a 2nd.  Sigh......

But I beat Mike Welsch.....seems that he didn't have time to handicap for today.  He's too busy being a professional handicapper.  Of course I am working full time, planning for the Breeders' Cup and I still have time to handicap.  Wow.....
